Ms. Olivia Brown The Gleaner Kingston, Jamaica

Dear Ms. Brown,

Grace and peace to you.

I am writing to commend you on your excellent report of 20 September on Glenmuir High School’s valedictorian, Ms. Raine Cooper. Her remarkable achievements, as you so ably set out, place her firmly among Jamaica’s brightest young scholars.

I would be very grateful for your assistance in establishing contact with her, as I would like to formally invite her to join the Y41 Cohort of A-QuEST.

For over forty years, A-QuEST has mentored exceptional Caribbean students towards global excellence. Among our alumni are 11 Rhodes Scholars, 17 Jamaica Scholars, and 29 United World College awardees. More than 4,300 of our protégés have won scholarships to universities and colleges in Asia, Canada, Europe, Latin America, the United Kingdom (Cambridge, Loughborough, Oxford), and the United States (Amherst, Cornell, Dartmouth, Grinnell, Harvard, Macalester, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Middlebury, Princeton, Stanford, United States Air Force Academy, United States Military Academy, Williams, Yale). Over 90 per cent have matriculated at the world’s most selective and generous institutions.

Our current cohort is an extraordinarily high-performing group into which Ms. Cooper could seamlessly fit.

I would be most grateful if you could forward this Email to Ms. Cooper or her family. They may learn more about our work at our Website listed below and can contact me directly at the stated Phone Number and Email Address.

Yours sincerely,
